Attendance Policy

Parents must call 487-0859 and notify Mrs. Debbie Beck-Hallenbeck in advance if the student is going to miss a rehearsal. At least one week’s notice must be given for non-emergency situations. Students are not excused from performances except in an emergency. Attendance at all rehearsals and performances is mandatory unless there is a very special circumstance such as doctor or dental appointments which can not be rescheduled.  Prior approval must be secured from Mrs. Beck-Hallenbeck.

 

Although marching band is an extra-curricular part of the Deep Creek Band Curriculum, attendance policies are in place. Failure to adhere to this policy could result in being sidelined during performances, suspension from trips, or dismissal from the program. Band class must come first over sports and jobs. Parents are encouraged to attend all band parent meetings. All band boosters meetings including executive board meetings are open to any interested parent. We hope parents support your child and become involved. Attend concerts and help in any way you can.
